2010 Caldecott and Newbery Medal Winners

I was a book nerd as a kid. Voracious reader. Some of my very best memories of childhood are afternoons and evenings spent combing the shelves of the public library. I can still close my eyes and see my first library card and the manila sleeve it fit into for safekeeping.

Sassy Books: Flotsam by David Wiesner

Now, I know this book isn’t brand new. It was published in 2006 and won a Caldecott Medal in 2007. But my first-grader and kindergartner just discovered it in the library.
